I've been wanting to serve Joshua fish pie for a while but had been concerned that the sloppy texture would be too difficult for him to pick up. These bites are the perfect solution, and are delicious too (even if I do say so myself!!) I adapted this recipe from one on the BBC Food website which was recommended by a friend who'd already made them very successfully for her little munchkin. The basic ingredients are 🥔mashed potato 🐟🐠some cooked, flaked fish (I used salmon, cod and smoked haddock from a fish pie mix which I poached in milk, plus some tinned mackerel) 🥚an egg, beaten 🥚hard boiled egg, chopped up 🧀grated cheese 🌽sweetcorn and peas 🦎chives, chopped To make, simply combine all ingredients in a bowl, shape into balls or sausage shapes (tip: wet your hands with cold water to help with the shaping), bake in the oven until golden. Serve fresh, refrigerate, or freeze. If frozen defrost in the fridge before serving
Enjoy x
